Willow Structure Care/Maintenance

Living willow structures (Domes/Tunnels/Fedges/Living Arbours)

For the first year you will need to keep your living willow structure well watered and well trimmed every few months while it is growing & shooting. Be careful not to let the new growth get too out of hand, then you will find that you can trim it with a normal hedge cutter to keep it in shape in the following years. Keeping the living willow trimmed early on will encourage all the rods to shoot lower down, creating a pleasing effect. If new growth is unchecked the rods will become too thick for a hedge cutter to control. To ensure that willow continues to live, shoot and put down roots, one must water well (over watering is unlikely).
